Description

Late 19th century Nephrite Jade Chinese figurine on original fitted wood base. 8 1/inches tall, 7 1/2 inches wide. Two Chinese fairies dressed in traditional kimonas, they are surrounded by peach tree blossoms and fruit, perhaps a ming tree in the forefront. Peach blossoms are good luck omens. We found a small chip in the jade at the right on a limb (see picture). There are marks on the jade that indicate the hand carving of a extremely talented artisian.
